Bagtown Love!

Bagtown is about performance and feel, not programming. No Linn drum machines or Roland 808s here, thanks—it’s just real people locking in and rocking out. Imagine you scored a timeshare at some fancy beach house in Malibu or Miami and you spent the week kicking back with the lanais door open, umbrella drink in hand and balmy ocean breeze wafting through. Bagtown plays like that. - Examiner.com

…Bagtown, is the culmination of much musical study in understanding the distance and intimacy between pop and R&B. - Blogcritics Magazine

The Shooz have gone back to their roots with BagTown, an unpretentious helping of straight-ahead funk with no frills. Driven by flavorful subtlety and laid back vigor, the now 12 members-strong outfit conveys a simple message of positivity and good times on nine cuts that embellish a phat bottom with light pepperings of jazz and pop. Highly Recommended.          - Soul Tracks

A fusion of R&B, Jazz and Latino influences, “Bag Town” holds a wide appeal, with touches of Shakatak, Janet Jackson and Gloria Estefan, yet remaining creatively unique. - My Eighties
